No. This service works with any valid EAN-13 or GTIN you already own. If you bought your barcodes from International Barcodes Network, Amazon, GS1 directly, or another reseller, you can use them here. We do not sell GTINs in this subscription; we provide the technology to make your existing GTINs “smart.”

Is this compliant with GS1 standards?

Yes. Our platform generates barcodes using the IBN Digital Link standard syntax. This ensures that your barcodes are recognized by global supply chains and retail POS systems preparing for the 2D transition .

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Your generated barcode images will remain on your packaging. However, the landing pages linked to those barcodes will no longer be accessible via our resolver service. We recommend maintaining an active subscription for any products currently in circulation to ensure customers can still access product information.

Can I use this for products already on shelves?

Yes! Since the barcode links to a web address (URL), you can update the information behind the barcode at any time. If you have existing stock with 2D codes created through us, you can update the product details in the dashboard without recalling physical products.
